About us

JadeBay GmbH Development Company is the regional development company established as a joint venture between the City of Wilhelmshaven and the administrative districts of Friesland, Wesermarsch and Wittmund. Their 24 municipalities form the new JadeBay Growth Region in the hinterland of the JadeWeserPort – the deep-water port currently being developed on Germany's North Sea coast.

Concentrating on the main areas of container and energy transhipment, the JadeWeserPort will open up the region internationally. Together with our partners, we're working to develop the JadeBay Region into a competitive, attractive economic region for enterprises interested in investing and establishing new businesses. To achieve this, we're pooling the region's economic resources and creating measures and strategies for regional location marketing, and for a future-oriented development of the economic structures.

In this way we guide and support the JadeBay economic location as it passes through structural changes to become a modern landscape for international industry, commerce and trade.

Our activities focus on international location marketing, cluster management for the main sectors of industry, on the settlement of cutting-edge technologies and on forming networks for both industry and technology.
