Thanks to its exposed position directly on the Jade Bay, our climatically favourable region has absolutely everything you could wish for for a pleasant and enjoyable seaside stay and a thoroughly successful holiday on Germany's North Sea coast.

The northern end of the region leads into the Lower Saxony Wadden Sea National Park, which has just been included in the UNESCO list of World Heritage Sites, while wide expanses of marsh, geest and moor landscapes are found to the south, west and east respectively.

Since 26. June 2009 the Wadden Sea has been placed on the UNESCO World Heritage List. Take a look at the official video that's been made by the Common Wadden Sea Secretariat (CWSS) or go on an interactive expedition through the UNESCO world natural heritage Wadden Sea via the Kubikfoto³ internet portal Adventure Wadden Sea.

Necessarily recommended is the film "THE NORTH SEA FROM THE SKY". This nature documentary with its truly extraordinary images is the first German movie that shows the Wadden Sea only from a bird's eye view.

Check out the movie trailer that leaves you wanting more. For more information on the movie schedule, please also visit the website "The North Sea from the sky".

Like the country, so the film!

Thousand of tourists are attracted to the region each year, not only by the peace, relaxation, unspoilt nature and, above all, of course, the sea with its endless beaches, but also by the attractive range of cultural and leisure activities for families and singles alike. The possibilities here are endless: cycling, golf, riding, skating, Nordic Walking, sailing, surfing, kiting, simply lying on the beach, discovering cultural treasures or indulging in the local culinary delights.

The history of the region and of its surrounding attractions makes discovering it an enticing undertaking. As the cities of Wilhelmshaven, Oldenburg, Bremen and Bremerhaven are close by, there's always the chance to enjoy the atmosphere of an urban location.

Honesty, open-mindedness, conviviality and hospitality, in surroundings dominated by lush green meadows and dykes: all this sums up the typical qualities and characteristics of the JadeBay Region and its inhabitants.
