The JadeWeserPark: an industrial and commercial area with room for innovation

Lower Saxony's North-Sea coast holds one of the winning cards where the globalisation of industrial manufacturing processes and technical innovation is concerned. A major part is played by the sea as a means of transport. Not only is it often the only way to transport goods of all kinds, but also it is frequently the most cost-effective. This aspect has already triggered multi-billion investments in the JadeBay Region, such as construction-work currently in progress on the new container terminal at the JadeWeserPort, and on a new power station in Wilhelmshaven. In addition, it is planned to expand production at the refinery in Wilhelmshaven, and the various off-shore wind parks in the North Sea are already creating hundreds of jobs in area between Emden and Cuxhaven.

All of the investments call for an adequate supply of space. As an intermunicipal industrial and commercial area, the JadeWeserPark offers not only the space, but also the best possible infrastructure for entrepreneurial investment in the JadeBay Region. The participating municipalities are currently developing a site which will provide 22 hectares for immediate industrial and commercial use. It is located just ten minutes by lorry from the new JadeWeserPort and is free from the obstacles of further cross-town links. This site, the industrial area under development in the freight village immediately behind the JadeWeserPort terminal area and other areas in the region, guarantee customers an excellent choice of locations for their respective projects.
